Payment Policy

  • Booking confirmation: A reservation is confirmed only after receipt of the applicable advance payment (as specified at time of booking) and a confirmation email from Lovedale.
  • Accepted payment methods: We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay), UPI, net-banking and payments through our official payment gateway at the time of booking. For booking assistance by phone or email, card payments can be processed securely over the phone.
  • Full prepayment / partial deposit: Some room types, special offers, group bookings, and peak-season reservations may require full prepayment or a larger non-refundable deposit. Any such requirement will be clearly shown during the booking process.
  • Taxes & fees: All rates are subject to applicable taxes and statutory charges (GST, service charges). These are either included in the displayed rate or added at checkout — the final price shown at booking is the payable amount.
  • Third-party bookings (OTAs): If you book via an online travel agent (OTA) like MakeMyTrip, Goibibo or Booking.com, the payment, cancellation and refund policies of that OTA may apply in addition to our policy. Please check the OTA confirmation email for details.

Payment Policy

  • Refunds for cancellations (our direct bookings): If your booking is eligible for a refund under the Cancellation Policy below, refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days from approval. Processing times depend on your bank/card issuer.
  • Non-refundable rates: Bookings made under a “non-refundable” or “advance purchase” rate are not eligible for refund except in cases where required by law or at the hotel’s sole discretion. The non-refundable status will be highlighted at time of booking.
  • Partial refunds: For partial-stay cancellations or no-shows that are eligible, the refund amount will be calculated after deducting applicable cancellation charges, service fees, and taxes.
  • Refunds for OTA bookings: For reservations made through OTAs, refunds (if any) will be handled by the OTA in line with their policies — please contact the OTA directly or refer to their confirmation message.
  • Refunds for additional services: Refunds for extra services (transport, activities, F&B prepayments) depend on the vendor/partner policy and will be processed per their rules. Any refundable amounts will be returned after vendor confirmation.

Cancellation Policy

  • Standard rate (direct bookings): Free cancellation up to 48 hours prior to scheduled arrival (check-in time as specified in your confirmation). Cancellations made within 48 hours of check-in will incur a charge of one night’s stay or the full first-night rate plus applicable taxes.
  • Peak / festival / long-weekend periods: During peak season (e.g., school holidays, long weekends, local festivals) a stricter cancellation window may apply (e.g., 7–14 days). Specific terms will be displayed at booking.
  • Group bookings & special events: Group reservations (typically 5 or more rooms) and special event bookings require a separate cancellation policy stated in the group contract. Deposits for group bookings may be partly or fully non-refundable.
  • No-show policy: Failure to arrive without prior cancellation (“no-show”) will be charged a no-show fee equal to one night’s stay or the total booking amount depending on rate type.
  • Early departure: If you check out earlier than the confirmed check-out date without prior approval, charges for the unused nights may apply as per the booked rate or a minimum of one night, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Modifications: Date or room modifications are subject to availability and may attract rate differences and/or change fees. Where modifications are possible, we will attempt to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee the same rate or room type.
  • Force majeure / government restrictions: In the event of government travel restrictions, natural disaster, or other force majeure, Lovedale will provide voucher options, re-booking alternatives, or refunds on a case-by-case basis. We will communicate options promptly to affected guests.

How to Cancel / Request Refund

  • Direct bookings: Email booking@thelovedale.com or call +91 9620209414 with your reservation number and cancellation request. Cancellations will be confirmed by email.
  • Bookings via OTA: Cancel via your OTA account (MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Booking.com, etc.) or contact the OTA support team. OTAs often provide instant cancellation via their portal.
